Front covers analysis
The colour scheme on this magazine is well set out, how they have only used red white and black which are 3 colours that work well together and make the magazine look more attractive so it will attract people attention. The "Arctic Monkey" font is clear and easy to read with it being much larger than all of the other pieces of text on the cover. The way they have set out and formatted the text under the main title is well organised and easy for people to read. The cover looks stylish how they have layered some of the text boxes behind some of the band members but you are still able to clearly read the text that is with it. The CVI for this cover would be the band name Arctic Monkeys.
The way how they have only used the colours blue and white for all of the other text and then used a purple/pink colour is a good effect as it will get people attention when they are looking at it and yet the colours of the white blue and purple/pink don't clash so it still looks professional and easy for people to read. I think it looks good how they have blended in the white and blue with the magazines name that signifies a clash of colours. The layout of the text is for clean and organised as there a just listed down the left and right hand side of the cover. I think that it is effective how they have used some what bright colours for the text on the magazine but the actual picture of the main story is in darker colour to add more effect to him.
it is effective how they have added an old vintage style to the background and how they look and how the name of the magazine also looks old and vintage with them but they have used bold eye-catching font which wouldn't be associate with the background. I think it is effective how some of the text they have used has been placed in a black or white box as it makes it easier for someone to read and does not clash with the central image. The layout of the text is very clean and professional as its not just scattered across the page anywhere, its just placed in the bottom left hand corner and on top of the cover. There is not much information on the front cover so it makes the page look more stylish and attractive.
I like how they have used a large part of the contents just on the main story of the magazine. They have made the font on the left hand side small but it has allowed them to add more detail and information. The black, red and white colour scheme works very well and how they are banded round the pictures. The title looks very good how it is bold and works with the colour scheme. I think that this contents looks good but i don't think it is the style of contents page i would like to use in my magazine because i would prefer a more organised look.
I really like the simple but smart layout of this contents page as it it is not just scattered all over the page but how they have listed the information well and just added pictures about the main news on the left. I think the colour scheme if fantastic because the black and white makes it look professional and the orange just adds that extra effects which makes it look even better. The small title looks much better than just having one spread across the page. I definitely think that i would use this style of contents page in my magazine as it is smart and simple but so effective.
The white colour amplifies the picture of Hayley WIlliams in the middle of the page. The actual information which people would want to read is neatly organised on the left hand side and is a black font so it is easy for the viewer to read due to the white background. They have provided pictures on the right hand side with page numbers so if you want you can skip to the information straight away. They have given Hayley Williams the biggest part of the page because that is what would be the main story or article in the magazine so people can go straight to the main attraction.

In this double page spread they have used the most popular layout with a picture on one side with the article on the other and i think that it has worked very well with the photos they have used. The colour scheme is very simplistic but stylish as they lime green for the text on a white background which looks great because of the font and how it looks very smart and organised. I though that the two photos together effect looked fantastic and is something that i would like to try in my magazine or something like it.
The colour scheme is very effected because the blue and orange work very well together and they look even better with the white background. I like the style of the large P at the beginning of the article and i think it is something that i would use in my magazine as it looks good and is a popular feature. The way the model is dresses is effected as it looks well with the black and white background. The way that one side of the double page spread is taken up by a photo and the other half is the article seems to be the most popular layout for a double page spread so i think that i will use a layout like it in my magazine.
