Colour Palette

Colour Pallette

From the research that i have done i have learned that the colours that are associated with my genre of music (Indie/alternative rock) are varied from looking at other magazines for information there is never really one set of colours that are focused on the magazine as it is normally and combination of 3 or 4.

From this front cover you can see that NME have combined both warm and cool colours together. Depending on who is on the front cover of the magazine and what kind of music they play would most likely have an impact on the way the colour scheme is set out so if it is a music that plays heavy metal or rock you would think that darker colours would be associated were as with genres like RnB they would use lighter colours.

These colours would work well on the cover of a magazine and a double page spread because there are colours that if you combine correctly will look good on your magazine. Using lighter shaded colours would not work on a magazine because they will not be very easy to see if the background is a bright colours which is very popular.
